TARNAK is a dark roast coffee crafted in honour of four Canadian soldiers who were killed on April 17th, 2002, when an American F-16, mistaking them for the enemy, dropped a 500lb bomb on their position. The soldiers were taking part in a nighttime, live-fire training exercise at Tarnak farms, near Kandahar. These warriors were Canada’s first casualties in the war and the first combat deaths since Cyprus.
